General Results of Assessment of Supraprofessional Competencies of 1st‑4th Year Students

Subject . The problem of developing “soft” skills recent graduates is acute in some areas business. According to employers, young employees may have a high level knowledge, but low soft skills. article considers the primary results pilot year project “Assessment and development managerial competencies Russian universities” (“Competence Centers”). following were assessed: information analysis; partnership cooperation; planning organization; result orientation; stress tolerance; rules. Goals Describe cross-professional among university students; reveal links between different hard students. Methodology sample consisted 28,933 students from 51 universities. instruments used assess students’ skills: Universal Personality Questionnaire, Resilience Tests for analysis numerical verbal information. included correlational analysis, t-test descriptive statistics. Results “Stress resistance” “Result orientation”, “Planning” are strongly positively related (correlations 0.75). orientation” “Following rules”, rules” negatively — 0.22). Information Analysis competency not other competencies. 4th show higher “Information Analysis” Rules” than 1st Conclusions We describe differences years study discuss possible explanations these differences.
